About

Stand Up 2 sci

At Stand Up 2 SCI, we are dedicated to helping individuals with spinal cord injuries build strength and progress toward standing through Standing Progression Overload Training and expert-led strength programs. Our approach is inspired by the natural progression of movement... just like a baby learns to crawl, stand, and walk, we focus on gradual, consistent strength-building to help our members regain mobility.

Through LIVE training, private coaching, and on-demand video resources, we provide structured guidance, real-time support, and a community of individuals working toward the same goal. Whether you're talking your first steps in training or looking to advance your progress, Stand Up 2 SCI is here to help you rise... one stand at a time.

Sci Balance Training

Our
Story

When doctors told us Tyson would never walk or ride again, we refused to accept that. We knew there had to be a better way, and that’s when we discovered progressive overload therapy taught to us by No Bullshit Rehab —a method that prioritizes standing exercises as the foundation for regaining mobility.

We founded StandUp2SCI to share this knowledge and help others facing similar challenges. Our program focuses on functional balance, muscle strength, and nerve regeneration. We believe that standing is the first step towards walking again, and we are here to guide you through that process.

What Started Our Journey

On Sep. 16th 2023, Tyson was out riding his dirt bike & practicing his Freestyle techniques. Everything went well that day with his riding... this was not a riding related injury... the cause is much more tragic and heartless.

While riding his dirt bike home he was hit by a speeding SUV drifting down a loose dirt road. He was on the shoulder of the road and the vehicle came speeding towards him and drifted  into him slamming into him on his dirt bike. The accident was unavoidable for Tyson and he was knocked unconscious by the the impact of the accident. Then the drivers of the SUV proceeded to do the unthinkable by dragging him 40ft. and placed him in a ditch—which can only be explained as an attempt to hit and run. Thankfully another car came down the road and helped hold them accountable for the crime. While they still have not received justices for the crime it hasn't stopped them from being compassionate and empathetic.

This accident left Tyson with a Spinal Cord Injury and a complete paraplegic. His classification is Complete ASI A from T4 down. Which is the most severe ASIA level.

OUR PROGRAM

Our program, Stand Up 2 SCI, was founded to share this knowledge and help others facing similar challenges. Our program focuses on functional balance, muscle strength, and nerve regeneration. We believe that standing is the first step towards walking again, and we are here to guide you through that process.

OUR WHY

Our Why began when we had to look into other options because we realized that while the best spinal cord hospitals focused on functionality, our goal was mobility and independence. We weren’t just looking for therapy to help Tyson adapt to his new reality—we were searching for the tools to help him overcome it.

OUR JOURNEY

Our journey began when Tyson, a talented FMX dirt bike rider, was left paralyzed after a car accident. When doctors told us he would never walk or ride again, we refused to accept that. We knew there had to be a better way, and that’s when we discovered Progressive Standing Overload Training!
